Trust to the end

⁹ “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. ¹⁰ And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. ¹¹ And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. ¹² And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24: 9-12) ESV

1. Face all pain with hope

³² But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, ³³ sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. ³⁴ For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one. (Hebrews 10: 32-34) ESV

2. Overcome life’s battles with courage

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. (Hebrews 10: 35) ESV

3. Carry out God’s will with patience

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. ³⁷ For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay. (Hebrews 10: 36-37) ESV

4. Look forward to the return of the Savior with faith

³⁸ but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” ³⁹ But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. (Hebrews 10: 38-39) ESV

Reflections and Discussion Questions:

1. Many people say they believe in God. Guess what they mean?
2. If we believe that God will allow those who believe in Jesus to enter and settle in the Kingdom of Heaven, how confident are we? (1-10)
3. How confident are we that God can help us face the difficulties in life? (1-10)
4. How can we trust God to the end and be sure to live in the kingdom of heaven?

⁹ 那時候，你們要被逮捕，受酷刑，被殺害。為了我的緣故，天下的人都要憎恨你們。¹⁰ 許多人要放棄他們的信仰，彼此出賣，彼此仇視；¹¹ 許多假先知要出現，迷惑人心。¹² 因為邪惡氾濫，許多人的愛心會漸漸冷淡了。¹³ 但是，堅忍到底的人必然得救。（馬太福音 24: 9-12）和合

1. 以盼望面對一切痛苦

³² 要記得以往的日子。上帝光照你們以後，你們遭受許多痛苦，但是並沒有在爭戰中失敗。³³ 有時候，你們當眾受人侮辱和虐待；有時候，你們跟遭受這些苦難的人站在一邊。³⁴ 你們跟囚犯一同受苦。當你們所有的財物都被奪走的時候，你們甘心忍受；因為你們知道，你們還保有那更美好而長存的產業。（希伯來書 10: 32-34）現中

• 以勇氣克服人生爭戰

所以，你們不要喪失了勇氣；這勇氣要帶給你們極大的報賞。（希伯來書 10: 35）現中

• 以忍耐實行上帝旨意

³⁶ 為了實行上帝的旨意和領受他的應許，你們必須忍耐。³⁷ 因為聖經上說：再過一會兒，那將要來的會來，不遲延。（希伯來書 10: 36-37）現中

• 以信心期待救主再來

³⁸ 我的義人將因信而得生命。但是，若有人退卻，我就不喜歡他。³⁹ 我們並不是退卻而沉淪的人；我們是有信心而且得救的人。（希伯來書 10: 38-39）現中
