每週通訊一般是報告特別聚會和新事工，但經常聚會也不容忽略。本周特別圈點:
- 每主日崇拜之前9時都有粵語禱告會。
- 國語聯合聖經學習《新約概覽》每星期二於8-9:30PM網上舉行。
- 「Llywelyn」是新為英語成人設立的生命小組，於星期五晚上8點聚會。

- 9/11（星期五），Milpitas堂將舉辦「目光折射: 李璧琦音樂生命分享會」；隨後9/13（主日）於Pleasanton分享福音主日信息。
- 9/12（星期六）10AM 中文班將開始。
- 9/12 （星期六）10AM 匯點與眾銅樂團將開始每週練習，歡迎樂手參加。
- 9/13 （主日）11:15AM親子美樂隊將開始練習。
- 9/13 （主日）12:30-2:30PM國、粵、英語事工將濟濟一堂於多功能廳舉行「中秋聯歡」，包括午餐、遊戲及獎品，免費參加，歡迎邀請親戚朋友，請先向小組組長報名。
- 粵語聖經研究「雅各書（下）」將於9/20至10/18 共5 堂11:15-12:45PM舉行。
- 新一期粵語門訓已開始。11:15-12:45PM舉行。
- 9/25 （星期五） 8-9:30PM 於多功能廳將有英語升學講座，由FLEX College Prep 的專門顧問主講，耳機國粵語翻譯。歡迎家長及青少年一同參加。
- 秋季的Lifeway探索聖經系列將於九月開始研讀羅馬書。可以透過教會訂購羅馬書及之前三季的個人研讀指南（冬季的馬太福音1-13章、春季的馬太福音14-28章，以及夏季的約書亞記、士師記和路得記）。小組組長可向教會索取小組研讀指南。

This Sunday 8/30, Pastor Jeremy Sin, Executive Director of the Chinese Baptist Fellowship of the United States and Canada, will serve as the guest speaker for the Cantonese worship service. Dr. Francis Chui, co-founder of the Caring Minds Alliance, will speak on “Dementia: What You Need to Know About Prevention After 40.” For details, please click here.
FOCUS and S&S Cantonese groups will continue to host a Family Communication Seminar for the new school year this coming Friday 9/4 8-9:30PM, focusing on mutual listening between parents and children. Clinical psychologist Dr. Katherine Kot is the guest speaker. Families with school-age children and teenagers are cordially invited.
There will be a church-wide leadership rally on Saturday, 9/26 in the morning and early afternoon held at Crosspoint Pleasanton. Life group leaders and leaders of ministry units are encouraged to mark this on the calendar. Details will be forthcoming.
The next Welcoming Reception is tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 10/4. The next Crosspoint 101 is tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 10/11. Classes will be divided into Mandarin, Cantonese, and English groups based on actual registrations. If you’re interested in learning more about Crosspoint and becoming a member, please reserve time to attend. Details will be forthcoming.
There will be a church-wide mission conference on Saturday 10/10 in the morning and early afternoon held at Crosspoint Milpitas. Please set aside time to attend. Details will be announced shortly.
Weekly newsletters focus on special events and new ministries, but our regular meetings should not be overlooked. This week, let us highlight:
- The Cantonese prayer meeting held every Sunday at 9:00AM before the worship services.
- The Mandarin joint-campus bible study, currently going through “New Testament Survey,” is held online on Zoom every Tuesday from 8-9:30PM.
- Llywelyn is a new English adult life group that meets every Friday at 8PM.
Repeating previously announced items:
- On Friday 9/11 Crosspoint Milpitas will host Becky Lee for a gospel concert, followed by a Sunday message on 9/13 at Crosspoint Pleasanton.
- On Saturday 9/12, the Saturday Chinese school will begin its first lesson at 10AM.
- On Saturday 9/12, the Crosspoint Community Brass Ensemble will also begin weekly rehearsals at 10AM.
- On Sunday 9/13, the Melodion Band for the Family will begin its first lesson at 11:15AM.
- On Sunday 9/13, from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, the Mandarin, Cantonese, and English ministries will come together at the Multipurpose Hall for a “Mid-Autumn Celebration,” featuring lunch, games, and prizes. Registration is free. You are welcome to invite relatives and friends to attend. Please register with life group leaders in advance.
- The Cantonese Bible Study on “The Epistle of James (Part II)” will be held from five Sundays from 9/20 to 10/18, 11:15 AM to 12:45 FM.
- A new series of Cantonese Discipleship training has also begun.
- On Friday 9/25 a college admissions seminar will be held in the Multifunction Hall from 8 to 9:30PM. The seminar will be held in English by a specialist advisor from FLEX College Prep, with Mandarin and Cantonese interpretation provided via headphones. Parents and teenagers are welcome to attend together.
- The Fall Lifeway Bible Exploration series will begin in September with a study of the Book of Romans. You can order through the church the Book of Romans and the personal study guides for the first three quarters (Winter: Matthew 1–13; Spring: Matthew 14–28; and Summer: Joshua, Judges, and Ruth). Small group leaders may request small group study guides from the church.
